Job Description
Serves as a part-time (19 hours or less per week), receptionist at the Maquoketa Center for Clinton Community College (CCC) . Answers telephones, greets students and departmental visitors, and assists individuals with questions. Directs student/visitors to appropriate offices. Performs clerical tasks including word processing and data entry.
Required Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent; post-secondary training and/or two years of work experience as a receptionist.

Physical Demands
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary Minimum $14.81 hourly
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
• Answers telephones and routes calls to appropriate individuals or offices.

• Assists with “walk-in” traffic and directs visitors/students to appropriate office(s) for information.

• Schedule appointments as needed.

• Serves as a receptionist for entire department area.

• Assists with maintaining records.

• Assists with supervising and scheduling work study students.

• Sorts and distributes the department mail.

• Responsible for stocking, maintaining and physical appearance of literature racks and common areas within the Center.

• Assists supervisor with various tasks, as needed.

• Ability to troubleshoot with copier/printer, computers and other technology in the building.
