South Main Bridge Reconstruction Project Notice Starting on Thursday and Friday, June 2nd and 3rd the contractor will be setting up traffic control at the S. Main Bridge reconstruction site. One way traffic will be controlled by signal lights on either side of the bridge. For the most efficient traffic flow please obey the signal lights. For ease of travel we recommend going around the 61 by-pass to get to the far south side of Maquoketa. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by Oct. 15,
The Maquoketa Public Library is hosting a poster contest and interested youth can pick up a sheet of poster board. *Each entry must include the theme "Read Beyond the Beaten Path" on it *Age Categories: Pre-School - Kindergarten; 1st - 3rd Grade; 4th - 5th Grade; and/or 6th - 12th Grade. *Include Name, phone number and the grade you were in during the 2021-2022 school term on the back of the poster *All types of materials can be used but must be able to be hung on a wall. *All entries must be returned
