Quality Engineering Manager

Summary:

Plans, coordinates, and directs the quality control program designated to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through others.

General Responsibilities:

1. Provides a QMS ISO-9001 focus to the organization.

2. Develops and analyzes statistical data based on product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

3. Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.

4. Reviews and assigns CAR’s as needed.

5. Manages RMA process for Quality.

General Duties:

1. Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities.

2. Works with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use.

3. Implements quality control training programs to key personnel.

4. Investigates and addresses customer complaints regarding quality.

5. Initiates and drives improvements in Quality processes to improve efficiencies.

6. ISO-9001 awareness / QMS responsibility.

7. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferred; minimum of five years experience in Quality assurance, preferably in an ISO-9001 environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish and implement work instructions and documentation as defined by ISO-9001, company policies, and procedures.

· Provides training, technical assistance and support for other departments.

· Provides technical support for Organizational and Customers’ questions and concerns.

· Support customer quotes as well as provide technical coordination.

· Research and analyze data such as customer rejections, specifications, and manuals to determine Quality requirements.

· Help design and procure tooling/fixtures for production.

· Identify, evaluate and recommend acquisition of capital equipment as needed.

· Other duties may be assigned.
