Prairies are an importance piece of Iowa's natural history. This once widespread ecosystem is the home to a diverse array of plants of and animals.
Come to the Hurstville Interpretive Center July 19th to learn more about the history of prairies and their importance. Then take a walk on the paved trail at the center, learning the names of common prairie plants as well as collecting your desired prairie flowers. Back inside we will construct our bouquets, and participants will take a little piece of prairie home with them. This is a free event open to all ages. Please bring your own vase or jar for your bouquet. Please call to register.
