Prairie Creek Recreation Area - Meet at Pavilion Winter is a great time to go and “prowl for owls.” An owl prowl is when we go out into the woods at night and call for owls in hopes that they call back. We will first talk about the owl species of Iowa and then hit the trails and try to get some owls to talk to us. Registration is REQUIRED at least 48 hours in advance for ALL programs.
