Iowa has many interesting native mammals. Mammals are a group of animals that have fur and produce milk for their babies. On Friday January 20th homeschool families with young children are invited to the Hurstville Interpretive Center, 18670 63rd St. Maquoketa IA, at 10 am to learn all about the different native mammals of Iowa. Join naturalist Tony Vorwald as we talk and learn though touching and experiencing furs and skulls. KinderNature programs are geared for homeschool youth. This program is free. Please register 48 hours in advance. To register call Jackson County Conservation at (563) 652-3783 or email tvorwald@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov.
