A new program series is happening at the Hurstville Interpretive Center, just north of Maquoketa: Coffee & Conservation. Enjoy coffee, tea, treats, and conversation about conservation. Each month features a different topic and speaker. Following the presentation will be an opportunity for discussion and social time. Thursday, March 7 at 9:00 AM, Mike Griffin, retired Iowa DNR Mississippi River Wildlife Biologist, will share about all things related to the Mighty Mississippi – history, wildlife, conservation issues, and more. Bring your questions about the Mississippi River! Programs are free and geared for adults. Freewill donation for refreshments is welcome. Registration is required.
