SUMMARY:PPP presents "Proof"
DESCRIPTION:Peace Pipe Players presents {Proof} a play by David Auburn\n\nFriday\, November 3\, 4 & 5\nThe play "Proof" by David Auburn may refer to a mathematical proof\, but that is only one side of the equation\, so to speak. The balance of the equation is ALL human experience\, i.e.\, what needs to be present to prove one's trust\, dedication\, or love for another.\n\nSet on the back porch of a home near the University of Chicago\, we meet the four characters of the play Robert\, a university professor in mathematics known for his genius\; Catherine\, his twenty-something daughter who has inherited her father's genius and perhaps his mental illness\; Claire\, Catherine's sister\, who hopes to do what's best for Catherine\; and Hal\, a former student of Robert's and math professor in his own right\, who is trying to make sense of his feelings for Catherine\, and Robert's copious amount of notebooks.\n\nAll the characters have something to prove and through the eloquent writing of David Auburn\, are all relate-able and believable in their triumphs and struggles. Thought provoking\, streaked with humor\, and *award winning\, "Proof" is a must see for "Big Bang Theory"fans and those wanting to deepen their theater experience.
